What is calculus?
Calculus is a branch of mathematics that helps us understand the changes between values that are related in some way to a function. Put another way, it is the mathematical study of continuous change. You can also think of calculus as the study of functions over time. It has two major branches: differential and integral calculus.
"Calculus is the outcome of a dramatic intellectual struggle which has lasted for twenty-five hundred years."
Hi, I'm Alexei Vernitski, I also teach on this module.
