Welcome!
Welcome to the Physiotherapy placement resources Open Essex space. This space offers information about practice-based learning, here at the University of Essex. You will find information about the ethos of our programmes, the curriculum students study on our BSc, MSc, and Apprenticeship re-registration programmes, and links to our university webpages. Our all-encompassing placement handbook can be found within the Programme Information tile.
Online practice educator induction training, developed and hosted by the NHS Learning Hub, is also available in asynchronous form, freely accessible to new or existing practice educators. We recommend all aspiring practice educators complete the training, as well as educators wishing to refesh their understanding of practice education. Information about the Common Placement Assessment Form can be found here, as well as information regarding the ePAD, which houses student progress throughout their placement journeys.
In the Paperwork and Policies tab, you will find essential placement paperwork and policies, including assessment documents and In Danger of Failure.
Information about face-to-face workshops, virtual discussion groups, and bespoke educator workshops can be found in the Practice Education CPD tab.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for, or have any feedback about the site, please get in touch with us at sresplacement@essex.ac.uk.
Many thanks,
The SRES Placements Team.
