The Masters Preparation Programme course is for postgraduate Masters applicants about to begin studying at Essex. It is a short course which aims to prepare you for postgraduate study at university. It includes study and research skills for learning at Masters level, and outlines the values and practices which underpin academic life at Essex.

The Skills @ Essex course is for current undergraduate students studying at Essex and hosted on our internal Moodle site. This resource is designed to support your skills development during your time at the University. (Please note you will only be able to access this if you have a University of Essex account.)

The University Preparation Programme is an online short course made up of six modules for students in years 12/13. The course covers independent learning, academic argument, revision skills, applying to higher education, student finance and budgeting as well as student life and transition to university. Note there is no bursary attached to this course.

This Python course has been created by the Computer Science and Electronic Engineering department of the University of Essex.  This course introduces Python and introduces programming for beginners. Even if you've never programmed before, you can take these tutorials!
